Who Moved My Cheese?

Thursday, November 6th, 2003

If that’s not exactly how life is, I don’t know what is! A friend of mine suggested that I read this since it’s only like an hour read. I did. I enjoyed it. And sadly, saw myself as Hem. I mean, sometimes I can see change coming and flow with it, but most of the time, I don’t want to let go. I love the comfortable things in life. The old tried and trues, I suppose. What I realize now is that maybe we all hold onto these old feelings and behaviors because we’re scared of the maze. Scared we’ll never find that new cheese that has to be out there. I’ve never been good in the maze and I’m not sure I’ll ever get to the point where I enjoy it like Haw did, but damn, I would love to be more like Haw. I’ll have to work on that.

Children’s Books

Thursday, October 30th, 2003

I simply adore children’s books. The way the authors take stories that might seem very adult and place them in a child friendly environment is just amazing. I have a lot of favorites that I find myself reading to my children. And last night I was gifted with listening to my 8 year old reading the very same books to his little brother.

:sweetheart:

Anyway, it prompted me to start sharing my reading here. I think it’s more of a way to keep track of the books that the terrors and I love to read or enjoyed more than anything else. So, here’s our suggestions for today. :)

:reading: The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs (Very Humorous Children’s Book) :reading: The Legend of the Bluebonnet: An Old Tale of Texas (Children’s Book) :reading: Artemis Fowl (Artemis Fowl, Book 1) (Children’s Book but I enjoyed it as an adult. It’s a great book!)
