Shattered Sun

When people visit my site via the fantastic Firefox 3, they get the below image:

Incredibly frustrating is the fact that there is no helpful information to explain exactly what the culprit is. Most everything is a bit vague and basically, tells me to clean out my site. I don’t have a huge problem doing this but you’d think they could be a bit more helpful. Supposedly Google sends out an email when they find a problem like this, but not only do I use gmail but also their website stat services and no email anywhere. Makes me wonder how many other programs are blocking my site without me having a say on the matter.

I’m not malicious and neither is my site. Now to just prove it to Google and the world. (Oh, and thanks to Darel for pointing out that Firefox 3 brands me evil!)

I don’t know why it’s happening and yet it is. There are duplicate posts showing up on Rachel’s blog. To call it frustrating is an understatement. I finally upgraded her to 2.5.1, which was easy, as usual. I can’t think of a time when upgrading Wordpress was tough, so that’s not really a surprise. And yet, every post that she’s made since the upgrade has duplicated and I can’t figure out why. I’m still researching, but if anyone has the answer, please leave a comment or send me an email! TY!

Sometimes, it doesn’t take much for you to be in awe. I’ve done some recent photo sessions and word of mouth is a powerful thing. I’m thrilled with the results that have been coming back to me. I really really need to update wekeli’s photo galleries to reflect some of the awesome new photos. But I haven’t yet. Someone kick me!! In other news, I’m still working on some back end stuff for the site, trying to do something I should have done a long time ago, and that’s actually go through old posts. From the beginning. Why on earth would I do something that crazy? Well. They need tagging for one. And for two, after moving hosts like three times in the life of this blog, there are internal links that have broken down and smilies that have disappeared. I’m just going to do a bit of clean up. It seems a little silly honestly. But heck, why not? It’ll make everything nice & clean and we all love nice & clean, right?

There’s been many times that I’ve become frustrated that people don’t get linkage from commenting.  I know, it probably defeats the whole Search Engine Optimization thing, but I still think people should get links if they comment on my site.  So, following Michael’s lead, I’ve decided to get rid of my nofollow status.  It probably doesn’t mean much to those that don’t also blog, but basically, I downloaded a nice plugin that takes the nofollow off.  So, those that comment with a website will get the link love.  Random site thing really.  I’ll write a real post later, for those that don’t enjoy this post. 

That I’m almost completely done with Tranquility.  This is a plus as it is a time sink.  :)  What do you y’all think?  I’ve never done a Joomla site before but I have to tell you that I am just loving that theme and I’m even considering putting Wekeli Photography into Joomla now that I’m more familiar with it.  Some of the cool attributes just rock my socks!  Anyone else out there use Joomla for anything?  I see the potential and would love to see what people have done with it. 

On a side note…  I’ve been told that I need to try SEOing my website so that Google, etc can better validate it for search rankings.  What a job!  I’m not even remotely interested in doing it but I know I should.
