Movie Tickets

We went and saw Speed Racerкомпютри on Saturday. It was eye candy in some scenes. And definitely had some imaginative story telling (via imagery). But… I wouldn’t see it again in the theatre. As a matter of fact, I wouldn’t have seen it at all in the theatre if it wasn’t for the Terrors. And I must say, they absolutely loved it. :)

Oh… As we were entering, someone said to me, “The chimp steals the show.” Couldn’t be more accurate!

Oh… And the theme song is available on iTunes. Definitely a swingy little ditty. It’s a dance styled song and I had to buy it because it makes me want to get up and dance around the room. :)

Oh… National Treasure: Book of Secrets came out of DVD today! Gonna have to buy that sometime because I just love that movie. Well, and because I like to look at Justin Bartha. ;)

Petal Confetti

It was a party here! Well, not really. :) But we took Z to the movies (have to love free movie tickets from work) and he wanted to see National Treasure: Book of Secrets. Great movie! Didn’t expect to see the divine Helen Mirren in it (perk!) or Bruce Greenwood (another perk!) and the plot was fast paced & well written. Just loved Greenwood as the President. Beyond being a drop dead sexy man (meow!), he just seems to fit into a leadership role.

The only complaint I have is that they left it obviously open for a third installment (Page 47 anyone?) and I dislike that because it means I have to sit and wait to find out what the answer is. Do they really have to be so cryptic? Oh well, it was a great movie anyway. :)

More than meets the eye…

I completely loved the new Transformers movie. It was mindless fun. :D Really, everything that a good summer blockbuster should be. There were chase scenes and fighting scenes and goofy scenes and even romantic scenes. :) Just LOVED it. Oh, and yeah, the plot is kind of lame. Then again, I didn’t go see a movie based on toys for its educational value. :P

Go see it. It really is so much fun to watch. I’d go again. :)

Everyone just wants to dance, dance, dance…

I can finally admit to really seriously enjoying Dancing with the Stars. I abstained from watching it the first and second seasons, but I wanted to give it a chance this season. I missed the first two episodes but got hooked in last week. I totally loved ballroom dancing before (anyone happen to catch Shall We Dance back in 2004?) but this really makes it look like so much fun. :) I told J that we totally need to take lessons at some point. He loves to see me dress up and it would be a fun excuse. Oh, and they say it’s awesome exercise! :)

In other randomness, it appears that ABC is quickly becoming my channel of choice with the few shows I actually watch. Who wouldn’t guessed? I used to be a total NBC girl. (I think I’m going to have to check out Notes from the Underbelly. It looks like fun.)

Reign Over Me

Monday, March 5th, 2007

The most promising movie coming out this month looks to be Reign Over Me with Adam Sandler. Man, can he stretch himself! I can not wait to see it. I don’t think I’m taking the Terrors though. Maybe I can con Rachel into it? Huh? Huh? :D
