Yippee!

My older brother’s first son and my mother’s 4th grandchild is going to be born very, very soon.

I love it when new babies are born. There’s just something exciting about new life. :)

So, I’m not asleep yet…

I was reading Damon’s journal and thinking about one of his posts on needs and wants. Personally, I have found that what I want and what I need are usually not equal. I want a simple life. I need a complex one to achieve everything that I need to get done. I want to not work (ha ha) but damn, I really like having money. There is one area that has finally balanced itself between what I want and what I need. My family life. I wanted a perfect family, but now I have what I need, which is a family that loves me. I wanted a perfect husband who would be the best parts of the men I love/loved. What I have is a man who is far from perfect, but understands me, puts up with me, and loves me. (more…)

Proof that Online isn’t a waste of time

Seriously, people ask me why a busy person like me makes time for blogging and well, gaming. It’s not nearly as addicting as I’d like to pretend, but it’s the friends that make it so worth it. I’m not talking about those run of the mill, once in a while friends. Or the ones that are stuck in the online friend mode. Nope, I’m talking about friends that have so much in common with you or just click with you that you go from online to real world. From gaming in Asheron’s Call, I’ve become very good friends with Weary, Tri, and Trish. They’re the best. Very different from me, to be honest. Well, except Tri, who is so much like me that it scares both of us. Actually, he’s older than me, so I think that makes me so much like him, right? Anyway… ;) And from blogging, I am blessed with Miss Smarty Pants herself, Rachel! Totally don’t know how exactly we developed the friendship to the point it is today, but damn, she’s awesome. Actually, I miss her and Darren being down here. It’s not common for Jayson to enjoy any of my friends really. The exception before Rachel and Darren would be Carrie, but I think that’s because she was his friend before mine. Now she’s all mine… Bwaahahahahaha! Or not, lol! Anyway, I’m thinking that maybe, just maybe we should plan some sort of get together. I know I could probably con Tri and Rachel into coming to AZ, but I dunno about Weary or Trish. It’s a bit expensive from Alaska and Australia (respectively). Some day… It’ll happen, just wait and see. :) I already conned Rachel into moving here… Bwahahahaha… Okay, I’m better now, really. I think I’ll go to bed, lol. :fluffy: Good night!

He’s so sweet…

Speaking of my husband, that is. :) Last night, I was tired and I laid down for a nap around 7:30pm. I hadn’t done the dishes yet, but asked him to wake me up at 9, so that I could get them done. He tried waking me up and I just couldn’t drag myself out of bed. So, he did the dishes for me. He loathes doing the dishes. I was so grateful. :) And, to top it off, he played nurse to our roomie, too. :) He’s a good guy.

Isn’t it always the little things that matter? :)

Inner Peace

Saturday, April 3rd, 2004

ROFL! Trish, you be the best honey, I laughed so much that my tummy hurt! :D

By following the simple advice I read in an article, I have finally found the secret of inner peace! The article read:
“The way to achieve inner peace is to finish all the things you’ve started.”
So…
I looked around the house to see all the things I started and hadn’t finished and, before coming to work this morning, I finished off a bottle of red wine, a bottle of white, the Bailey’s, Kahlua and Tia Maria, all my dope, some valium, all my cigarettes and a box of chocolates!
YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW BLOODY GOOD I FEEL…

Hehe… She prefaced it by telling me: “When i read this joke it reminded me of you with all your little bits of paper and notes around, just can’t see you doing the alcohol bit though” Hehe… I really wouldn’t do all that and I don’t smoke, but it’s still too funny. :)
