Just Ducky!

There wasn’t much going on in my world today. I finally have my office almost completely unpacked from the office move. Who knew it would be so painful to move an entire office? Actually, I was taken aback with just moving my own and I had only been in my office for two years. Amazingly enough, I’ve been with this company for over 3 years now. Sometimes it feels like longer. And I know that I’m appreciated. Well, sometimes I know I’m appreciated. Most of the time, I feel like I’m bouncing my head against a wall trying to get some recognition. It’s one of those things, I just don’t know. They say that you move jobs something like 7 times in your life. I don’t hope to do that many but I would certainly be content to go to being a full time photographer this year. It seems a little lofty but I think it’s something to aim for. I’m starting to get more and more photo gigs and hopefully this month I’ll be able to upgrade my website to keep up with the demand that I think is coming. :) Sometimes it’s tough to keep those eyes bright and on the prize when it would be so much easier to go the easy route. I don’t think I’d be content with the status quo though. I think I’m too much of an opportunist to let myself settle for a simple and mundane office position.
The question is, is there a point when you’re too much of a “thinker” and not enough of a “realist”? I guess we’ll wait and see. In the meantime, see below for my initial goals for 2008. Why not? It’s has to be good for personal growth.
- Lose weight.
- Go on one major trip and a few smaller trips.
- Get rid of all the old papers that have been sitting in my home office forever.
- Take more photos!
- Grow wekeli photography into my primary business.
- Become even more active in the Two Terrors’ schools.
- Call my family more. (Heaven knows I let this one slack in the past year.)
- Use my bead stash to be creative and only buy beads that I’ll use immediately with something I already have.
- Complete my Associates Degree (or further it along as much as I can.)
- Post one photo & one post per day.
I’ll probably add more later, but I think that works for now. :) And it’s pretty broad without being over obsessive. :D By the way, the duck photo is best viewed large.
