Shattered Sun

Forgive me! In the past couple of weeks my life has been hectic to say the least. The following, in no particular order, have been consuming my time:

• Z starting 3rd grade… with a new teacher… at a new school…
• S starting 7th grade… with a whole new schedule… at a new school…
• Me starting school… and taking a hefty load that includes Pre-calculus, “Legal, Ethical, and Regulatory Issues in Business”, Writing Composition (because the school jipped me on my transfer credits), and “United States History to 1870″ (again because of my transfer credits)
• Heavier work load at work with a new & improved corporate website on the horizon that I am heading up
• J going back to days from the night shift
• J’s mom visiting (which I would have her do again, I LOVE her sooo much!)
• Portfolio building photo sessions (and the editing that goes with them)
• And I’m sure there’s other stuff… but… my brain is mush, lol

I hope that I can get back to some semi-regular blogging soon! I miss it, it’s so therapeutic!

At least that’s what I keep telling myself. I’m constantly looking for items that reduce their footprint in my home and ways to reduce my apparent need for more items. It’s like an addiction. And I find myself reminding myself that if I haven’t looked in that box for six months, it’s likely I never will. Why do I keep all this junk!? For those that are long time readers, you might remember my previous posts regarding my clutter. I’m still fighting the battle. My hopes rest on the ability to move into something like a Katrina Cottage or maybe a traditional brownstone. Trust me, I won’t miss the eight room, three bath monster that so many people insist on owning. The thought of cleaning it makes me want to faint!

In the meantime, I continue to look to IKEA, Apartment Therapy, and the wonderful Unclutterer to help me reach those goals. Anyone have some nifty ideas that they use? I’ll take most anything into consideration!
