McCain for Pres!?

Thursday, March 1st, 2007

I have always admired Senator John McCain and it comes as no surprise that he was on Letterman and sorta announced his presidency. Did anyone really believe that it was all an exploratory committee for nothing? (As a matter of fact, if you go to that site, it now redirects you to the official John McCain 2008 site.)

I am so voting for Mr. McCain. I was bummed when he didn’t go farther in 2004 and I’m really hoping that 2008 is his year.

Random side note: Anyone else a bit bothered that Mr. McCain has a cheesy name ripoff and calls his supporters’ online area McCainSpace?

Ooooo, cool way to share your stuff

Okay, so I’m a bit leery about the orange background that has overtaken a nice idea like Box.net Widget but don’t let that deter you from using a simplistic and lovely tool. I’m thinking of all the myspace potential here! :) Here’s the deal, you can upload three files to start with and then add more & more until you’ve reached the free limit of 1 GB. Otherwise, for a mere $4.99 a month, you could upload up to 5 GB of stuff. The cool part is that it’s an easy and great way to share whatever items you want with the general public. I put up three random images in my test one: Get your own Box.net widget and share anywhere! Now, see, wouldn’t that be perfect for a section on a myspace profile? And then on a personal site, it would totally rock for a music group, too! Insta-download of some music. :D I also found that the added features of the box widget would make it come in handy for a small business or other collective thinking group. It’s very very handy and the uses are endless.

Here’s the one I’m thinking of putting on the sidebar of this site: Get your own Box.net widget and share anywhere! My only complaint about the above size is that your title must be short or it will be cut off with a few ““. It doesn’t look terrible but it wouldn’t be the look I’d want on my site. Oh, and there’s three other colors for the background. Go test is out and goof off with the interface. I can tell you that I made mine in about three minutes! :D Man, I just love stuff like this!
