PPP Blog of the Day

Monday, February 19th, 2007

Looky! Yeah, it’s robot generated, but I still think it’s cool. :)

I don’t think it’s any surprise that it happened on the 20th of the month since that’s my lucky number. ;)

Coupons!

Monday, February 19th, 2007

I’ve talked about getting coupon codes from Coupon Chief before, and I must admit that I still love that site. :) I came to it again in search of a coupon for J because he’s in the mood for a portable DVD player. Luckily, CC has some Circuit City coupons and well, we adore Circuit City in this house. Never had anything but amazing service from them. I also saw a coupon for Weight Watchers which interests me. I’m not totally sure I dig it but some people I know have done it and found it really useful. At 25% off, I’d probably give it a shot if my current “dieting” doesn’t work. Anyway, I’m off to search for some coupons for the oldest Terror since his birthday is only a few months away! :)

Love is difficult

Sunday, February 18th, 2007

I was watching Brothers & Sisters and they quoted Rainer Maria Rilke. I fell in love with it. :)

It is also good to love: because love is difficult. For one human being to love another human being: that is perhaps the most difficult task that has been entrusted to us, the ultimate task, the final test and proof, the work for which all other work is merely preparation. That is why young people, who are beginners in everything, are not yet capable of love: it is something they must learn. With their whole being, with all their forces, gathered around their solitary, anxious, upward-beating heart, they must learn to love.

If you would like to read the whole letter, go here. Total poetry. Lovely, simply lovely.

Ah, new music, here I come!

Sunday, February 18th, 2007

As most people know, I’m a huge fan of music. My friends Damon and Kelli got me stuck into the local music scene and I’ll admit that I’ve been far too busy recently to support local music as much as I’d like. I think that’s why I’m enjoying Unsigned so much. It’s a snazzy way for unsigned groups to hopefully get discovered and make it into the Big Time! Check out the Bluegrass Artists, Country Artists, and of course, Dance Artists. :) What’s cooler is that even though there are two pages of dance groups, you can hit the advance search and find the one local dance guy. :D I love that! So, find some new music. Explore a bit. Especially since when you click someone’s profile, you can hear some music they’ve put out. It’s like Myspace, only cooler and without the idiots in it. :)

Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders

Dang, they sucked me in. I caught an episode from last season on this whole marathon thing that CMT was doing last night. Talk about cuteness! It’s entertaining how the girls are all so cute and athletic and yet aren’t small enough. There’s one chick on there that I really enjoy, but she’s got a good chance of getting cut if she doesn’t lose some pounds. I’d like to link you to their site but I don’t want to know who is cut until I finish the next two episodes. :D
