Budding Photographer & I

Z got a new camera for his birthday. And it’s a nice point and shoot! :) Now to just set him up with his own Flickr account. :D

Didn’t see that one coming…

Ugh. I’ve been slacking again. Between being sick, then doing stuff with friends, and doing this mondo project for work, I haven’t had time to think, much less write. :( I’ve not been a happy Nisey with that one. Even my Flickr account has been in a state of disarray. Ugh. Anyway. Project is now done, birthday celebration and get togethers complete, and no one is sick (well, maybe J a little, he’s a bit under the weather). Maybe now I can write and get some beading in, too. :)

Anyway, that’s my story. What’s yours?

I totally love my friends. I don’t say that enough but dang it, y’all rock my world. It just wouldn’t be the same without ya! *MWAH!

Okay, other than a Mean Librarian…

What do y’all think of these frames?
New Glasses (365.28)

Forgive me, I’m having my own little mental break down and it’s over a pair of frackin’ glasses. That’s dumb, I know. But here I am, crying because no one likes them. I know, I know. Intelligent Denise is crying because none of the cool kids like her new frames. I’m sorry. I guess my brain isn’t engaging and my childish “wanna be cuteness” is taking over.

I know it sounds dumb. Let me have my moment. Nothing to see here… Brainy Denise will be back, as always. This is merely a momentary lapse, that’s all.

What the heck are you doing up so late!?

I used to be a night owl. Everyone knew me for it. But in recent years, I have decided that sleep is indeed this cool thing to do. So, I sleep. Except on Saturday nights. That’s when the night owl comes back in full force and I indulge in what I know will wreck me on Sunday. :D Usually I spend the evening doing something fun with photography. It might be learning something slightly off kilter or a new technique that I can’t quite wrap my brain around, or even just goofing off with some shots. Most don’t see the light of day. I’d like to change that, but heck, I’m happy with what I’m doing. :)

Tonight, I’m trying to master this: Smoke & Incense Technique. We’ll see how it goes, LOL. Right now, I’m not having much luck but I’ve only been at it for about an hour or so, so I think I need to fine tune things a bit more. I’m sure I’ll get it but it might just take me a wee bit of time. If I do master it this evening, I’ll try to remember to post a link to the set here in this post. :)
