Trade one bowl for another

Thursday, December 28th, 2006

I do not understand the whole Bowl Game thing for football. Every year another bowl pops up. Or maybe the corporate sponser changes and thus the name changes and I just think the bowl is new. Either way, around here the big news is that Tempe doesn’t give a rat’s butt that the Fiesta Bowl when to the Cardinals Stadium. They traded it for the Insight Bowl. Yes, I said the Insight Bowl. It kills me that they don’t have cool names like the Rose Bowl. Even the Fiesta Bowl is nifty. But the Insight Bowl? How unoriginal is that? :(

And Darel, enlighten me on how the bowl thing works. Is there a bowl game for every team in football or something?

All of Ted’s toys…

Thursday, December 28th, 2006

Totally kill me! He reminds me of my husband! I mean, seriously, could he have more toys in his office? LOL. What am I talking about, you ask? Easy, I was watching more reality tv via PayPerPost’s RockStartup.com just to see how it would do. As you know from my previous post, I wasn’t too thrilled with the initial eps. This one, however, I enjoyed. I thought it was nice on what it focused on and I am totally in love with the new offices. Well, maybe not Ted’s office, I think that green would give me one heck of a headache. I also loved the industrial look and feel to it. Honestly, the office now has a look and feel that matches what they’re trying to sell, which is really a version of fun & money. $700 chairs anyone?

Oh, and Ted, radio ads are good here in Phoenix. People spend so much time driving, you kind of have a captive audience. :D

Anyway, it was definitely more entertaining for me to watch this time around. But, as they say on Reading Rainbow, don’t take my word for it:

I’ve got Happy Feet!

Wednesday, December 27th, 2006

Okay, well, I did. I went to that movie tonight with the family and it was amazing. :) Totally funny and touching at the same time. And I am going to go to iTunes and buy the soundtrack. :D If half the songs that were sung are on there, I’ll be in mixed up heaven. :D Anyone seen that yet? Carrie, Heidi would love this movie!! :) We kept thinking of her the whole time, hehe… Okay, I’m off to work on a picture for the 365 days project on Flickr. See y’all later and goodnight! :D

On the prowl…

Tuesday, December 26th, 2006

As I’ve posted previously, we’re on the hunt for a house in 2007. As it turns out, my office is also moving to a new location in 2007. All of this sounds fine and dandy except that we only have one vehicle right now. :( Bummer, I know. Needless to say, I’m on the prowl for a new car. Just something small and simple, really. Well, not too small, I do have photo equipment and children and pets to haul around. Found some Cars For Sale @ lemonfree.com and the site looks like a nice addition to the ones I’m already looking at online. I figure that I can’t have enough options when I’m out car hunting. I hate going to car lots because they’re always so pushy. At least when you look online you can do your research while you’re looking and lemonfree links you straight to Carfax reports. Handy, I must say. :) I’m also looking at Ebay and lemonfree links to a vehicle’s ebay auction if there is one. Good thing, too because you know how I am. I’d probably think there were two cars that just happen to be from the same place being sold at the same time and just happen to look identical. ;) Anyway, I’m aiming for something like a Mazda Protege. I don’t think J will drive anything smaller. ;)

On a side note, I think this site really shines when it comes to its older cars. Ones like the Dodge Challenger look to be perfect for guys who want a muscle car to tinker with.

Belated Merry Christmas!

Tuesday, December 26th, 2006

I don’t know about y’all but I totally made out like a fat bandit this year. Got a ton of cool photography stuff and well, that makes me really happy, lol! Seriously, I should make the list, but I won’t. Needless to say that you’ll probably start seeing more photography posted on my flickr site. :) I also made the resolution to shoot in RAW format as much as possible. Honestly, I thought it wasn’t a big deal but now I’m seeing the control that you have over the images and I’m shocked that I didn’t make the plunge sooner! Check out my more recent flickr photos and you should notice a difference in the quality of the shots. At least I hope I’m not the only one who sees the improvment! :D Anyway… Everyone better have had an amazing Christmas this year! :) Why? Because I said so!
