A slow rocking start up…

I don’t really dig places like Rockstartup.com’s reality tv. It’s nothing personal, but it’s so rare that reality tv is engaging enough to keep my interest. Or maybe it’s just funny enough. With good editing, shows like E’s The Girls Next Door have really thrived. Same thing could happen with Rockstartup, I suppose. The first two episodes didn’t really do much for me, but they’re just starting out so I’ll give them some slack. I’m more interested in seeing how it goes with episode three. The more original they can make that one, the better!

The personalities are there though. These guys are out there having fun and generally throwing caution to the wind. I didn’t find their reality show to be as fun as some of their goofy videos, but I’m hoping that will come with time. Plus, I guess that’s the thing with reality, it can’t be all fun and games the whole time. :( All in all, if you’re a fan of reality shows and interested in the goings on of a web 2.0 company, you’ll probably enjoy the show. :) As for me, I’m going to hang around, check it out some more and see what they turn out in the next few episodes.

Anyone think they’ll be interesting enough to be picked up by real TV?

(Random side note: I do love what they’ve done with the site design! Very spiffy! And yes, this particular ad is sponsored by PPP. I couldn’t help it, I was going to write about the site anyway with all the controversy swirling around it.)
