Shattered Sun

My mother would be so proud of me!! Tonight, my oldest son drops one of his infamous “Mom, I forgot to tell you…” lines and proceeds to tell me that he has to wear Sunday Best to his band concert. Except that he doesn’t know what Sunday Best means. And he didn’t think that it excluded wearing shorts. And of course, it’s late enough where we can’t really go to a store (he has to sleep or he’s a wee bit of evil) and he’s outgrown last year’s slacks. So, I get the bright idea that maybe I could alter an old pair of J’s into a pair for him. After all, they only have to work for one night. Sooooo, I spent a relatively small amount of time, used Fabri-Tac, and Viola! The job was really that easy. I was a bit daunted at first, but I felt that if it didn’t work out, I’d just have to run around in rush hour traffic tomorrow night and buy him a pair. As is, while we do our Christmas shopping I’m going to have to squeeze in the time to buy him a new pair because honestly, how can he not have a pair of slacks? Anyway, that’s my story. Oh, and in case you wonder, they don’t look half bad. I’m pretty proud of them, actually.

I’ve joined the many people who are part of Payperpost.com and earn some extra blog money while doing it. To be honest, you shouldn’t even be able to tell which of my posts started with a payperpost opp and which ones were of my own doing. You won’t find me blogging about anything that I wouldn’t normally fancy to blog about. Why do I do this? Well, it’s pretty simple really. It gets me posting, which is definitely something I needed motivation to do. And it also earns me a little extra cash on the side. I figure, I’m a small blogger, mostly my family and friends are reading my site, and really, I’m never going to be a blog celebrity.

So, basically, no harm no foul. It’s straight forward opportunities with very clear instructions but they don’t tell you what to write. Whatever I put up is still my opinion coming out of my own brain. And maybe you’ll want to join, too! It’s a quick sign up and everything is usually approved within a day or two. I say check it out!
