Shattered Sun

I can not believe that she made love to Lee, admitted that she loved him, heard him tell her that not only he loved her but he was willing to drop his current relationship to be with her completely, and then she gets up & marries the guy she picked up from Caprica. Um, HELLO!? What the hell was she thinking? If I had the love of my life do something like that, there’d be no contest. I would take the ride for all it’s worth and flow with it. Why not? Love like that only happens once, I believe. I know, I know. It’s only a show. But damn it, I want them to find each other, be happy and be free. It wouldn’t make for much of a story line, I’ll admit. Who wants there to be happily ever after? It’s like Adama and Roslin. I doubt we’ll see them carry on a complete relationship in public view as long as they are in their current positions. It would be nice though, wouldn’t it?

Sorry, I had to get it out. We just finished watching the most recent episode and I was just flabbergasted by what they revealed. The poor spouses. It’s gotta be tough to know that the one your married to is still in love with a former flame.

If you can believe it, Phoenix is actually a resort town. Trust me, I sometimes have a hard time believing it myself but I bet I’d go with it if I was retired or somehow able to leave when it’s hot outside. I think that’s why we have so many places like those offered at Cave Creek Real Estate. Cave Creek is really a nice area in the northern part of town. Lots of views since it hasn’t been totally built up yet and what has been built kind of fits into the scenery, like the picture shows. If I was in the market to buy a place for the sole purpose of leasing it out to visitors, some place like this would be perfect. Not too far, not too close and yet you can still get to just about every event in the Phoenix area in about an hour. And they really do look pretty!

I was on a roll and doing so well! And then the holiday party hit and I didn’t have time to get on here and make any posts. I spent Friday night shopping for the perfect outfit (including spiffy boots). I did finally get it but it amazes me that at a size 10/12, I’m fat in the retail world. Well, at least in the stores that are for my “age group”. I’m a large or extra large in those stores but put me into a place like Dillard’s and I’m a medium. How does that work!? I wish, now more than ever that there was a universal sizing system for retailers. That would definitely make it easier on us when we’re shopping.

And last night, I got drunk. Yep, holiday party and I was drunk off my butt. Everyone was drinking and a few of us did get drunk but none of us did anything that would be regretable. J was nice and played the Designated Driver for him & I. It’s not his usual role, but he really really wanted to see me drunk just once. Supposedly, I’m a funny drunk. I guess. Anyhow, I remember everything I said and did, so I think I’m golden. We’ll see how it all shakes out on Monday, lol.
