I’m not committed
I probably should be more committed. I was reading this post about commitment and realized that my commitment comes and goes. I was probably never a sports player for this reason. Being fit is not something I’m committed to. I mean, I’m committed to be healthy but not being “perfect”. I’m committed to living a long life and therefore do the obvious things like take my vitamins, see the doctor, drink plenty of water, etc, etc. You know, all that stuff the docs tell you to do. However, it’s exercise where I get the problems. I have yet to find an exercise where I can keep going at it day after day without a care. Nothing appeals to me in that way.
I would love to be able to find something that I enjoyed but so far, nada. When we buy the house, I’d like to get a treadmill or eliptical machine and then I could watch my few TV shows and exercise at the same time. Now there would be a way to pass the time. As it stands, I do stretching and stuff like that while watching TV.
Anyone got any exercises that they think I might find interesting?
Oh, random side note: I kept hearing about “spinning” classes and figured that maybe they were people spinning in circles on the floor or something. Once I looked it up, I realized they were basically riding a stationary bike. LOL.
