Bright Eyes

What kills me is that I don’t know how all these people I see on Flickr manage to get shots that are just so eye popping! I’m talking about this, this, and this, for examples. Just amazing! I have a great photoshop book that shows me how this could be possible to do, but I’m betting that most of the credit is to the photographers in question. Still, the eyes take my breath away and I wanna do that!! If anyone has suggestions, I’m all ears (and eyes, too).

Are you sure they havent been played with afterwards to get that, and im sure they must be using light sitting in the right spot

It is accomplished with proper use of your lighting. you can use ambient light to make a spot of sorts by having someone take a large sheet of white poster board and reflect the light toward your subject. Call me and I will explain more about it. BTW…. Love your photography.

It’s also people using filters with photoshop. Trust me, I read this huge post over on the I LOVE PHOTOGRAPHY boards (for professionals or people wanting to make $$ but unless you already do, they are not too kind over there, so I just read). I read they are super good with filters and actions :/ I could be wrong…

We need to get together and work on those charms… doesn’t even have to be LLB. I’d like to make some of J and my nephews for my sister and mom. Maybe some bigger ones (like for a walk-way, stepping stones?) for my dad. I read it’s the same thing but bigger… :D

I took the second photo you linked. I do move around until I get the catchlights in eyes “just right” when taking a photo, but there are also Photoshop tricks outlined here and here that can help in post-production. (P.S. Thank you!)

Please remove immediately my photo from your site!!!! This is illegal what you are doing with photos from flickr!!!!!! Legal action will happen if not done immediately!

Huh? I would never steal anyone’s photos from Flickr or anywhere for that matter. That would be beyond rude and inconsiderate. I merely have a text link to your photo on your Flickr photo stream. I don’t have the image on my site anywhere nor will I ever. I’m sorry that you felt offense to the text link. It was merely a compliment to your image and the amazing work you do, but as I said, I would never put someone else’s photo on my site.

Would you like me to remove the text link? You’ll also notice that I have a text link to Robyn’s photo and she has had numerous images stolen. She was not offended by the text link since it directs people to her Flickr photostream and I did not put her image on my site anywhere.

Btw, I’m SimplyDenise on your Flickr contacts. :( It hurts me greatly that you would lump me into the miscreants that steal photos instead of creating their own work. But, if you don’t wish the text link either, please let me know and I will remove it immediately.

Im upset now because Ive found over a dozen places that have taken my photos off and are using them without permission, some of these sites, not this of course, are using the childrens photos in a sexual context, When I did the search it brought me here, I didnt fully realize what this was, sorry, yours was right in there with the weird Japanese girl site.
    sorry……. kat
