Who knew flying a kite was so painful?

Sunday, March 19th, 2006

There was this amazing wind yesterday, so we went to the park and flew kites. And today, my arms are killing me! I would never have thought to stretch out before flying a kite. I know I definitely didn’t as a kid and I know my kids didn’t yesterday. But man am I sore! I’ve got some pretty decent pictures that I would like to upload. And I think I might be able to create some interesting print media with them, too. Just some thoughts in my head, but I’m working on it. Anyway, I’m going to head to bed. Joey had another tough evening today and I’m kind of beat. Thankfully, Jayson was there to help out this time, but the stress of it really gets to you. I can only imagine how Rachel is feeling. She’s holding up well, I think. But it’s gotta be tough watching your child go through this stuff. :(

Up to 2 days!

Saturday, March 18th, 2006

Sadly, my quest to post daily was slightly sidetracked this month. Once because I was out and about and once because of this yesterday. Not bad, I guess. I’ve only missed 3 days since I started, so I’m making progress. I really enjoy the posting now. It’s nice. And it’s habitual. I think that’s the toughest part in coming back after so long of a break. You definitely get out of the habit of writing. I’m also definitely enjoying the posting of a photo daily. It’s nice. :)

In other news, I spent the day with Rachel and her family. It was actually quite nice, all in all. I’m very appreciative to be able to have a positive influence on a kid’s life. And it’s good practice for when Zacky gets to that age because he’s already having fits and once you throw hormones into the mix, it’s not going to be pretty. But I’m hopeful. Joey is helping me learn to deal even though he doesn’t believe it. I’ve tried telling him that most of the difference between his reactions to Zacky’s reactions is the size factor. And Zack is definitely moving quickly in the growing areas. He’s getting sssooooo tall! Pretty soon both him and Sam will be taller than me. Which is weird to think of. But I’m glad, because it would bite if they were short. :)

Not a good skin day for me

Thursday, March 16th, 2006

I’ve been taking benadryl today because I still haven’t paid for the Zyrtec because it’s so damn expensive. It’s killing me. I just slept from 7ish on to 11ish. I hate benadryl. And you know what sucks more? I got up and my fingers are sausages! Ugh! I didn’t even drink a soda before I slept. I hate my skin. :( I’m going back to bed, I think. (And I know, this is really a non-post, isn’t it?)

What type of degree?

Wednesday, March 15th, 2006

Would you get a degree in what you enjoy doing or one in what you can most likely make a steady income in? Assuming that you’re equally talented in both areas and don’t have a problem getting a job in either area, what would you do?

I pose these questions because I’m going back to college in June and I’d like to figure out what my major should be. But the more I think about it, the more I flip around. I’m hoping for a bit more clarity than what I’m getting from the people around me locally.

Instant Scrapbooking Pages

Tuesday, March 14th, 2006

I simply adore Kiddie Kandids. That’s where I take the family to get pictures taken because the price isn’t bad, the photos are good, the photos are fast, and there are lots of props to goof off with. :) It’s a great combo for when you want professional photos that jump out above the average.

And today in my mail I got this great offer for a sitting (which I should do, but I’m not certain I will). I love getting deals in the mail. It’s just nice to see coupons, lol. :) Anyway, the thing that really got my attention was their nifty new Scrapbooking Pages. They’re predone, come in 7 themes right now, but I bet that for the price, they’ll really start taking off. Something crafty for the non-crafty person. :)
