A sick day!

Tuesday, November 1st, 2005

And you’d think it would’ve been nice. And it sort of was. Except it was supposed to be for a surgery for Zackery. Yep, another ear surgery. Of course, that was a go until he woke up this morning around 2 am vomiting. After I clean him up and all he gets into bed with us and he was definitely running a temperature. Come 5 am when we had to get up to get ready for the 7 am surgery, he’s running near 101 and can’t keep anything in him. Long story short, surgery is moved to November 29th now. Which isn’t a bad thing, but it’s definitely not a good thing either. And he was sick all day long! No food really stayed in til this evening and he was up to 103 at one point. It’s down now, thankfully. I even think he might be able to go to school tomorrow. I just can’t believe our luck that he’d get sick the one day he needed to be well. What are the odds!? Anyway, I’m heading to bed. That’s where he is and I better sleep in case something happens and he starts getting worse in the night. Keep your fingers crossed!

Is it just me?

I find the blonde on Lindsey Lohan to be a step down from her fabulous red hair. Anyone else with me on this?

I’m so zoned right now…

I’m so tired, that I’m heading to bed at 7:30 tonight. Ugh. Don’t you hate when that happens to you? Goodnight cruel world!

Getting into Focus

Tuesday, October 25th, 2005

I went through a training class today called Focus: Achieving Your Highest Priorities. It was highly useful. Actually, more useful than I truly thought it would be. I figured that I’d go, get used to the whole planner thing and go from there but continue doing things the way I currently do them. I don’t do them wrong really. I’m just not really effective with my time. We all have the same amount of time, I know. It always feels like I’m “running out of it” though. I’m not. I’m just not making the correct choices. Today’s training can be very good for me if I can continue applying it instead of leaving it in the seminar.

The speaker, Dave Knapper, says we have to give it three weeks and then tell him how we’re doing. He actually wants us to get in touch with him should we encounter problems or need that extra little bit of help with applying what we learned. I love having that kind of back up! Speaking of Dave, if you’re going to take this course, see if he’s the one doing it. I guarantee that you’ll be amused and entertained the entire time you’re there. But it’ll be attention getting amused and entertained, not wasting-your-time entertainment. Trust me. :)

Pixaboy!

Tuesday, October 18th, 2005

Through a series of jumps around the net, I naturally got off tangent and found the cute Pixaboy. Interesting concept and not so bad to deal with since it sends you an email reminder and you only have to visit it once a day to maintain it. I think it’s cute, though I’m not sure how long I’ll keep up with it before it falls to the way side like so many other things in my busy life. :)
