Why I’m not a rock star

Thursday, September 15th, 2005

Beyond the fact that I can’t sing, dance, wear make up or generally do anything cool… I also can’t wear all the odd clothes that rock stars wear. At least not without feeling like an idiot. I think I’ll stick to being a plain jane.

Only 20% Good

Of course, that’s only my opinion. :) After reading this on Darren’s site, I thought it would be fun to see how well my graduation year faired. Not bad but I can’t say that I’m surprised that I only really want to listen to 20 of the songs on the top 100. It definitely wasn’t a banner year for music! There’s a lot of repeat artists in there, too. Oh well, at least it was at the beginning of the bubble-gum-blonde-teenagers era of music! :D

Some tidbits

  • According to Sam, I won’t be old for another, like, 70 years!
  • I’ve been neglecting my internet identity as of late and yet, I don’t feel bad about it.
  • Seems that in order to download songs from my eclectic tastes, I have to subscribe to three or four different music services. That sucks.
  • I really need to learn to either manage my off time better or learn to speed myself up. Giving up being a perfectionist would probably help with that a lot.
  • It’s tough being tough on Zacky when he’s being lovey. Jayson’s right; I’m a softy.
  • Today, the president of my location gave me kudos for everything I’ve been doing with payroll. That makes me happy. Who doesn’t like being praised for hard work?

And on that note, I’m going to go to bed with my wonderful husband.

You ever notice?

I go through spurts of posting? I really do mean to post. And there are things I like to say but I think about them when I’m working or away from the computer and then I forget to post about them. Any suggestions on not losing those cool gems that you might actually want to read? Otherwise, this site is going to get awfully boring. :(
