I can admit it…

I’m a sucker for a happy ending, which is why I read the good “Beach Books”. You know what that really means, right? It means I read… (drum roll please) romance books. I draw the line at those cheesy romance books that have some funky watercolor on the front that shows some guy kissing a girl. But I do love a good humor filled romance where everyone ends up with the person of their dreams and all is good.

And you know, I think it’s better than playboy for erotic reading. It’s all in your head. ;)

Sunburn, Water, and Thieves

Tuesday, July 12th, 2005

Well, this last weekend was great. It really was a lot of fun. We spent Saturday at the water park and had a blast. It was a UV 10+ day, but we figured that wouldn’t be a problem because we’d just use lots of sunscreen. And we did. I still got burnt to a crisp. I even burned my scalp. And that sucks because you can’t exactly put lotion on your scalp to make it feel better. Anyway, the other problem was that Jayson’s sandals got stolen. Yes, you read that correctly. What kind of idiot steals someone’s sandals? I mean, seriously, you have to be pretty strange to afford the water park and yet not shoes. :| I’m just amazed, to tell the truth. But it happened, and well, it bugs me. Anyway, other than those two things, the park was great.

We went to the library on Sunday, which was very nice. And believe it or not, every single one of us grabbed some books. I grabbed the most, but hey, I got my Terrors to find some, too. :) We didn’t spend much time there and I’m grateful because I wasn’t feeling so great following my sun overexposure. I tried not to complain too much but I bet Jayson was tired of hearing me moan and complain.

I didn’t miss any work on this week but I wanted to. My face looked extremely red and people just gave me odd looks. Downfall to sitting at the front desk when you feel icky; everyone sees you feeling icky. I feel better every day, but man, I feel like I resemble a tomato (though, according to dictionary.com a tomato is slang for “a woman regarded as attractive”. And on that note, I think I’ll head to bed. I’m soooo tired.
