Being a better blogger

Monday, March 28th, 2005
I actually made this promise to myself when I noticed that my website had fallen to the wayside in my life. I missed having a journal and now I’ve gotten back into having one. My only concern is content. I’m not overly funny or witty. I don’t want to join the techy blogs that all write the same thing. I don’t do amazing photographs that people want to keep coming back to see. Nor do I have a spasmadic family that keeps people entertained. (Well, I do have a spasmadic family but I don’t really write about them because they rarely effect my life on an every day basis.) Now, the only question is, what to write about?

I’m not a nice person

Monday, March 28th, 2005

I wish people would figure that out already. I’m not nice. I’m blunt. I tell the truth and this website is an extension of my honesty. I’m not that girl that walks down the street and tries to find nice things to say to people. Granted, I try not to be insultive, but I’m not going to lie to you either. Somehow I have a wonderful husband, two amazing children, and a ton of friends & family who all love me anyway. If you aren’t part of that group, don’t read my site. I’m not here to make friends with the masses. The internet is not a popularity contest people.

Flickr, then Snapfish, now Ofoto

Saturday, March 26th, 2005

It’s been a busy month in the world of photo sharing sites, as Flickr, Snapfish, and now Ofoto have been bought by bigger companies. If you’ve been living under a rock recently, you’ll want to know that Flickr is now owned by Yahoo and Snapfish by HP. Considering I just got the email from Ofoto yesterday, it’s a good bet that the word is not out yet that Kodak bought them. I should’ve hopped on this money train when it was coming!

note to self: figure out next big online trend and hop on it

Image Headlines

Friday, March 25th, 2005

I’m now using Image Headlines for my titles and sidebar titles. So, if you’re seeing “boxes” around the images, it’s because they’re in PNG format and IE doesn’t support PNG transparencies. What’s this mean? It means you need to get a different browser to see this site as intended. Most any browser aside from IE should work. Firefox is a quick and easy place to start. :)

Subliminal Arrow Anyone?

Wednesday, March 23rd, 2005

Please tell me that I’m not the only one that’s never noticed the FedEx logo has an arrow in it. I can’t believe I was that blind. Talk about sneaky! The guy who created this logo is just amazing. I can’t believe I never noticed. Really. I feel like a sucker. :)
