The perfect proposal
Look, I guarantee there’ll be tough times. I guarantee that at some time, one or both of us is gonna want to get out of this thing. But I also guarantee that if I don’t ask you to be mine, I’ll regret it for the rest of my life, because I know, in my heart, you’re the only one for me.
Filched from Runaway Bride, which I am watching right now. Really, in this day and age of quicky marriages/divorces, it wouldn’t do us much harm to have this tattooed on our hearts when we get married. Marriage isn’t always easy. It’s not always roses and sweet nothings. I know I’ve said this before on my site. The more I think about it, the more I believe it. I think I’m going to say the above quote (paraphrased, of course) to Jayson when we renew our vows. We’ve decided to renew them on our 10 year anniversary. Yeah, it’s not much time, but by then we’ll only be 29!

I agree, I also love that proposal from the movie. You know what’s missing from alot of people’s vocabularies these days is the word “COMMITMENT”. Sometimes love isn’t just a feeling, but it must be a decision and a commitment, and it can take work at times, but it is so worth it in the end.
