Back from the dead

Sunday, September 5th, 2004

Getting odd emails from me relating to comments made up to 4 months ago? That would be because I’m finally getting through all my email and responding to everything! It’s been a big undertaking! I should’ve been smart and kept up with it, but you know how that goes. You always think, “Naw, I’ll do it tomorrow” and tomorrow keeps becoming tomorrow. :???: So, don’t mind me reviving dead posts. Actually, I never close comments, so there’s really no such thing as a dead post here on SS. :)

Getting younger and younger

Wow. I had a talk with my 9 year old yesterday about sex. Ironically, I wasn’t flustered or even embarrassed. I was, however, caught off guard. He was taking a shower with Zack and we got on the subject of seeing girls nekkid. I think it was because Zack was asking why he can’t take a shower with me. Anyway, then Sam goes off on this whole thing about how guys don’t need to see girls nekkid unless they’re having sex. I’m like, sure, that works. Of course, I told them that they’d better not have sex until they’re adults. To which Sam says, “Or when we’re teenagers. My friend said that you can have sex when you’re a teenager.” At this point, I’m thinking yeah, that’s true but what exactly do I say to that!? So I told him that yes, he will probably have sex when he’s a teenager, but he had better not have a baby when he’s a teenager. He told me that we had him when we were teenagers. I said, “Yeah, but we were way too young and you don’t want to do that.” He agreed and told me that he’d try not to have any babies before he was 19. I’m thinking… Okay. :tired:

And that was that. I came out of the bathroom and told Jayson what happened and he laughed it up. Not that I can blame him! It’s just a wee bit odd to me that I had my first sex conversation with Sam when he’s 9! Who knew?

Shells & Stripes

This is my first official Christmas gift project! I think the person who receives it is going to love it. What I love about it is that it’s not your typical “beach” item.

What was going through my head this week? Dreaded Save versus Publish, AGAIN! I’m such a dork, lol

Jobs, jobs, jobs

So, I was “reassigned” from that job I was hired for. Her reasoning for not wanting me? I chatted too much with my coworkers who also chat too much. Oh, and she overheard me say “Well, that’s just dumb.” She has no idea what I was talking about but decided that I must have been talking about her company policies. Dork. Like I’m stupid enough to say that. Even if I thought it, I wouldn’t say it. I was talking about something the builders do, but that has no reflection on her company. It was a very odd reason to be let go.

The up shot is that I have another job lined up to start on Tuesday, so I’m not out any paychecks. I would love to stop being temp, but at least it pays the bills, ya know?

Helps to hit Publish, not Save. Doh!
