Last night was awesome, today is the complete opposite

Talk about a bad turn of events. I found out today that I royally screwed up by not speaking to the correct people on a problem here at work. So now I have to write a long email detailing what I did, who knew about it, and what needs to be done. In the end, I think I’ll be vindicated, but my boss’s boss told me that he fires people for not following chain of command. So now I have the big cheese annoyed with me! And I thought I was doing a good job!!

As for last night, we went and saw the Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement. It’s a blast. I highly suggest that you go see it. Very funny and has some nice witty moments. It also has some nice “call backs” to the original film. Just little comments that will make those who’ve seen the first one laugh. :D

I’m going to get back to work and hopefully be invisible (but not wet :lol:).

    I hope all works out ok for you. I was fired over a miscommunication several years ago myself. It’s hard to deal with, the boss didn’t see it as a miscommunication, but a disregard for rules or policies (which weren’t laid out clearly in the first place, IMO). Not always so cut and dry. I wish only the best for you.

    That’s the thing in business, eh? Things are rarely cut & dry and you have to make those judgment calls. I hate making judgment calls because the person who you have to answer to rarely sees the whole situation and sometimes doesn’t agree with you because of that. It’s a catch 22.
