Gimme some skin

Monday, June 14th, 2004

The coolest thing Jayson and I got this weekend is a package of dskins at the mall. You put this sleek plastic disc protector and they’re protected from scratches! It literally just snaps on in about 5 seconds and seems to work. We’ve been playing PS2 games with dskins on them and there haven’t been any problems. We got it at Gamestop for a mere $6, and you can even order them online if you don’t want to fight mall traffic. I tell you, these babies are awesome! Buy some, protect your games, DVDs, CDs, and whatever else you have on disc and thank me later. :)

Celebrating!

Saturday, June 12th, 2004

:afro::b-woot: Yeah, we spent today celebrating our anniversary next week. It seems silly to some people, but we have to celebrate Father’s Day next week! :) We went out and had a nice day that included getting hair cuts, my nails done, and photos! It’s probably been a good four or five years since Jason and I have had any photos taken of us, so this will be a treat for my friends and family who live so far away. :) When the terrors come home in August, we’ll probably get their photos taken also. So that they’re all up to date. Anyhow, I’m off to play some games and I will definitely post the photos that we had taken today. Well, I’ll probably post them tomorrow anyhow. :) Y’all have a wonderful Saturday!

Thank you Mr. President

I :heartbeat: Jelly Belly Blueberry Jelly Beans and it’s all thanks to Ronald Reagan. I never knew that before! Apparently, he wanted to hand out red, white and blue jelly beans at his 1981 inauguration and convinced Jelly Belly to make those yummy blueberry ones. Even odder though is the fact that they have a profile of Reagan made out of jelly beans in their visitor center. That could be a life goal for some people, to be immortalized in jelly beans!

They have the Bean Art online!

9 years and a day

Tuesday, June 8th, 2004

:cake: Happy birthday to my original baby boy who turned 9 years old yesterday. I actually called him up and sang happy birthday to him yesterday just before he blew his candles out. It also means that I’ve been a mother for 9 years and a day. So much has transpired in those 9 years, but suffice to say that I’m very pleased with how life’s turned out! As for Sam, I think he’s on :cloud9: since he got a HULK cake, legos and star wars characters. Of course, he also got told that he’ll have a brand new shiny Game Boy heading his way when he returns home. Plus every Spiro game I can get my hands on, but that’s still a surprise. He got told about the GB because I didn’t want him to feel like his dad and I weren’t getting him anything. I didn’t give it to him before he left because it has no place at Nana’s. She lives on a farm, for crying out loud!:b-lol:

Age don’t mean a thing

Monday, June 7th, 2004

Seriously, it doesn’t mean a thing to me at all. Got in a fight with someone last night because he’s telling me that my modem is going out. Why my modem would all of a sudden die in the middle and stop communicating with the internet is beyond me. AND the damn thing was responding to queries, so it appeared to be working properly. I didn’t think it was a modem problem but an internet service provider problem. But he’s arguing with me and tells me “I’m 39 and I know these things.” I’m like, what in the hell does being 39 have to do with anything? That doesn’t make you more knowledgeable. Just makes you OLDER! So then he responds that he’s had a computer longer than I’ve been alive, and I’m thinking… 26 years is a long time ago. But sure enough, he pulls out that he had a computer when he was 13. Grats to him, but did it have a modem? Stupid ass. Sometimes, I just want to strangle people who don’t want to admit that someone might know more than them or even worse, that they might have to admit that they don’t know what the hell they’re thinking. Sometimes… :wall:
