Age don’t mean a thing
Monday, June 7th, 2004Seriously, it doesn’t mean a thing to me at all. Got in a fight with someone last night because he’s telling me that my modem is going out. Why my modem would all of a sudden die in the middle and stop communicating with the internet is beyond me. AND the damn thing was responding to queries, so it appeared to be working properly. I didn’t think it was a modem problem but an internet service provider problem. But he’s arguing with me and tells me “I’m 39 and I know these things.” I’m like, what in the hell does being 39 have to do with anything? That doesn’t make you more knowledgeable. Just makes you OLDER! So then he responds that he’s had a computer longer than I’ve been alive, and I’m thinking… 26 years is a long time ago. But sure enough, he pulls out that he had a computer when he was 13. Grats to him, but did it have a modem? Stupid ass. Sometimes, I just want to strangle people who don’t want to admit that someone might know more than them or even worse, that they might have to admit that they don’t know what the hell they’re thinking. Sometimes… :wall:
