Oh, the agony!

Sunday, May 30th, 2004

I’m tired. I have been busy busy busy this weekend since it’s the last weekend with my terrors. Plus, I’ve been getting some design work done, as I’ve been meaning to give my photolog a new face lift. Something that is different enough but doesn’t detract from the photos. It’s been fun, but man, making IE and Firefox both show a nearly identical rendering of the design has been a PITA. But I just can’t stand having to maintain two or three or four stylesheets for one design. It seems like overkill, ya know? Anyway, I think I’m going to head to bed. I’m a tired puppy and tomorrow is my last official day off with the terrors and I plan to make the most of it. :lovestruck:

He did it!

:grad::arrow:That’s my Sam! As of today, he’s officially a Fourth grader! :b-woohoo: That’s so cool! And we got his scores from his tests… He’s something of a smarty pants! Scored above average in Language and Reading and everything else had good scores. He did get an F in spelling though, so he’s going to have to tough out this summer and work on spelling. Otherwise it’s just going to get worse next year. I’m excited for him though. Fourth grade is when school starts to have the cool things. :) Okay, enough jabbering. Needless to say I’m excited that I can say I have a fourth grader and kindergardener next school year. :)

Geeky Reborn (Sorta)

Wednesday, May 26th, 2004

Long time readers probably realize that I haven’t put all the little side pages up on this site yet. Call it laziness. Anyway, Geeky has been sorta reborn in a quick and dirty Stats page. I haven’t finished adding the missing items, but you’ll get the idea. :) Enjoy!

More than meets the eye…

Yes, yes, Upgrading to Wordpress 1.2 was a breeze… Except that the new plugin system broke some of my hacks, lol. And some of the authors forget to mention that you have to delete lines from your my-hacks file if you have it still active. And… I could go on, but seriously, it was a breeze. If you haven’t hacked too much at your Wordpress you’ll find it to be nothing but a minute to do.

I’m off to bed since I’m getting up in six hours. Nighty night!

A Swift Kick in the Arse

Tuesday, May 25th, 2004

That’s what I need! I’m procrasinating again about the website stuff. Shocking, eh? Anyway, I have been thinking that I want a portal page set up and that it should be password protected. Not because I don’t want people to see what I link to but because I’d like to keep some of the information that I want on it to myself. It’ll be a lot of links, which is why I’m having a bit of a tough time getting it together. Can’t decide what I really need on it. I don’t want it to be a collection of randomness that’s so messy I won’t want to go to it. If that makes sense, lol. :)

I’d also like a calendar set up on it so that I could access the calendar from both work and home. I hate having to carry a million things around to keep track of dates and times. Work has lots of people in and out of the office due to traveling and their schedules can get very confusing. Combine that with the children and Jason’s schedule and life is just too hectic, lol. I’d also like to develop my own little reminder service. I don’t mind the ones you can do on the net, but I don’t really enjoy getting junk mail/ads from them. It’s one of those things though. They have to pay for it somehow.

Anyway, I’m going to go install Wordpress 1.2 on this site and who knows what sites. I think there are at least four sites that have an older version of WP that need upgrading. :t-up:
