From inspiration to design
I would love to take all the cool ideas that I come up with or my friends come up with or my family comes up with or my dog cat comes up with and make them happen. But I can’t. Why? Because I am a perfectionist and if something just isn’t working for me, I get frustrated. I might vent but to be honest (ask Jason), I rarely yell or scream or throw a fit related to the computer or designing. I do, however, have many ideas jotted down, designs drawn on paper, and photos cut to pieces (digitally). It’s lots of half done designs that I just can’t seem to bring from inspiration to design. Someone remind me that I should stop being a perfectionist and just go with the flow of these things and get them finished.
Of course, I’m also crazy enough to attempt the CSS Zen Garden and convert the designs I’ve done on digitally twisted and convert them for use with the Wordpress style switcher and with MT’s basic template. Why? Because it’ll make it easier for those lackadaisical template challenged people to get designs changed. You have to admit, one stylesheet versus three changes is much simplier. I’d like to see how far I can take it. It’ll force me to rely more on CSS than HTML anyhow, which might be a good thing.
Okay, enough rambling about all that. I’m off to get some cross stitching done.

Personally, I most love ideas you can play with. I love a problem which makes me think :juggle:, not just of solving the problem but of how decisions would affect those around me. Try to figure out how the dominos will fall and maybe how to arrange them better next time.
Miss you all much.

Babe I love your designs. The process that gets you to them is sometimes…. ummm…. fun. Yeah! that’s it hehe.
/me thinks about all the times I’ve heard “What do you think?” in the past month.
But your work, like you and wine, have only gotten prettier, tastier :P, and more sophisticated with age,

I have a faint idea of the pain and fristration you go through, but i am lucky in that at times things dont have to be 100%, but when it does come to havving the correct colours i can be there for hours just getting the colour right. My thing is i give myself an hour and then i have to walk away and do something else then i might come back to it in say 3 hours and im all excited cause i have worked out how to do something when i was away from it.
the thing of your half designing is what you do is purposely do a bad design then you will get an idea of how you want it to look, it is how i do things at times :artist:

I’m just extremely design challenged and lacking in time and patience to sit down and work on something.

Raynos says, “where’s the beef?”
Dalani says, “Over that way.”
Raynos charges the cows.
Cow says, “MMMMMMMMMMMMOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!”
Raynos tells Dalani from his lifestone, “hey i died again, damn cows”
