I’m not a flosser

Sunday, January 25th, 2004

I should be a flosser, but I’m not. I hate it. To the point that I openly tell my dentist that I don’t do it. Why lie? I’m sure he’s not dumb enough to believe that I do floss. But I was shopping last night picking up stuff for the bathroom and I had to give flossing another try. Why? Because I wanted to try Reach Access Daily Flosser. It was on sale and I just couldn’t resist! :D So I flossed with it last night and this morning and haven’t cut my gums once. It’s awesome. If you don’t like to floss, buy it. You’ll love it and I bet your dentist will love you for it. :)

Does it ever end?

Hehe… Yeah, that was a rhetorical question. But it’s sorta fitting. I am the master at going to do one thing and finding 5 other things that need to be done. :) Call it the reason I have a to do list. Anyway, I went to read Rachel’s site and noticed that she had this person on the top of her comment leaders list that shouldn’t be there. Gotta love the comment spammers out there! So I start going through her comments and deleting comment spam. While I’m at it, I decide to delete some trackback spam she’s had for a while. There is no way to track which entry you got a ping for except via the email that MT sends you telling you that you’ve been pinged. If there is a way to track it, I couldn’t find it. Anyway, that’s not my point. My point is that I went through the entire site and removed close to 200 comments/trackbacks. There are still some there that are sorta questionable, but they aren’t out right spam, so I’ll leave them for her to go through later. I think that comment spammers are so annoying. It would be nice if they would at least be a little original about it. Don’t they know that we will delete them thus defeating the entire point to what they were doing anyhow? They aren’t going to go up in the google ratings enough to make it worth their while. Some people are just irritating.

I’ve got more things to do in the web world beyond just deleting spam. Guess I should hop to some of that stuff sometime. :) Hopefully I won’t have delete more comment spam on my list any time soon.

Btw, I got the skins done! Woot! :D

At this moment, what is your favorite…

  1. …song? Falling Down ~ Avril Lavigne

  2. …food? chinese

  3. …tv show? Enterprise

  4. …scent? Nag Champa

  5. …quote? “You are a complicated woman.” “I’m not, I’m just really good at complicating things.”

More skinning fun!

So, I get everything set up and ready to go on the main site for testing and decided two things:

  1. I want to have all of my MT blogs (3 run this site) to be skinnable at one time so that people don’t have to click and change every single site.
  2. I don’t want every single page to be the same and that’s impossible with the current footer/header stuff.

So, it means more work for me, but I’m going to create other footer and header files and put them up and then y’all will be able to skin the site. Currently some of you can see the new valentine theme but most are probably seeing the gold theme. :) It should all be done today though! Woot!

Fontifier

It’s a serious request. I’d love to create a skin that used people’s handwriting for its base. I won’t identify your handwriting if you don’t want me to, though I’ll give you credit for letting me use your font. So how bout it? Any of y’all care to help me out? Email your fonts or scanned handwriting (I need a full character set, like this template) to denise@shatteredsun.net. The Ultra Cool Fontifier can be a bit fickle about scan quality. So if you try to put it in and it doesn’t work, I’ll do the extra work on this end to make it work. :D
