Twist me baby!
At the urging of numerous friends and family, I have decided to restart my design company. It’s going under a different name (digitally twisted) and I will be happily delegating work out when it comes to that point again. I’m not sure how pushy I’ll be with advertising this time. Last time was great but hard to keep up with the demand of being a one person show. To be honest, I’d like to expand it beyond just business stuff. So, I’m going to put the tips and tricks I’ve used with MT to produce what I’ve done, some templates and graphics, that sort of thing. I’m even going to ask my mother if she wouldn’t mind donating some of her amazing photography with the promise of a credit link in the designs.
Oh, and I’m going out on a limb and testing Wordpress as the power choice. Why not MT? Believe it or not, it’s not the $150 fee for commercial use. I don’t mind forking out the money, because it’s a good product. Really I wanted to use something else so that I could become more versatile. So many times we pidgeon hole ourselves into using one program exclusively and refuse to spread our horizons into other programs. It’s that comfort zone we all have. Originally, I was planning on playing with something like PHP-Nuke but that seems like overkill for what I want to achieve. So, the new site will be my testing ground for Wordpress. Who knows, maybe I’ll like it enough where I decide that I want to leave MT for it. We’ll see, eh?
If anyone would like to offer suggestions, content, or help for the new site, just throw me an email at denise@shatteredsun.net and give me a run down.
I’ll gladly go co-op with y’all.

Im just thinking that maybe you could have an online teaching, what you could do is pick a product like say adobe photoshop and have a new part of it every week then if people wanted to know more about it you could charge them to learn it, I’ve always wanted to know how to build a webpage using html coding, and how to put a side menu in, you could do it with many products that you have, that way you have another way to bring money in..
you just dont teach them the ones that you use to make your webpages.
just pick a few products that you know, and have it in your menu you could teach people how to use them, you may have to go to peoples houses to teach them.
