We all have to grow up sometime

I’m really not one to make new year resolutions, but I guess I did make goals for myself this year. Actually, now that I think about it, my goals were really set in motion because I hit 25, not 2004, lol. Either way, I decided that this is the year I’m getting my finances and future on the straight and narrow, which is where they should have been a while ago. My credit score is horribly low. It’s so low I don’t even want to share how low it is. It’s icky. So, I am doing what I have to do this year to fix it. It’s not going to be pretty, I can see that much. And then I let my student loans get messed up, so I called about those earlier today and got everything set up and ready to go. So, in 6 months time I will be able to go to school and get financial aid again. I’m very grateful for that! I’d never be able to finish college if I had to pay out of pocket for it. It’s scary to look at my credit report and see some of the negative things that are there. Some shouldn’t be there and will have to be fought over. Others are just there and it’s like, wow, where did those come from? And others are there and I knew they’d be there and seeing them there just made my heart sink. I never thought my finances would magically fix themselves, but I never was in a state of mind or ability to fix them myself.

And then there’s school. How scary is that? I get to go back! Woot! I truly am happy about that. I love school. And I’m thinking of being a pharmicist. A good friend suggested that I check into it and it looks mighty interesting. It’s a lot of work to get down that path though. Should prove to be challenging, that’s for sure. :D I was chatting with my oldest about his father and I going back to school this year. He told me that it’ll be cool in the fall because then everyone will be in school, lol! The only thing I worry about is that no one will have enough time. Hopefully we can all balance the next few years because they’ll be tough but definitely worth it in the end.

I am glad to see someone actually happy that they might get to go back to school lol. I really hope you can get your finances figured out and set on the path to higher credit, and also that you can go back to school as early as fall. Good luck!

Thank you! I need all the luck I can get, lol! To be honest though, I have a good feeling about it all, so I think it’ll work out just fine. :)

I was supported by the financial aid all the way, too, and more by DVR. Well, good luck in persusing your education! :)

Thank you! I wish I was like Jason though. He gets the MGIB from the military and they’re paying him almost $1k a month to go to school!

Yea! I’m glad that you’re going back to school! You were always the smartest gal in our group. What are you going to get your degree in though?
