Unseen Photos

Sunday, December 28th, 2003

Today was sort of like an extended Christmas for me. I found some negatives from my wedding, so I was just glancing through them and saw photos that I’d never seen before. I guess I somehow missed these negatives when I had some photos printed and now I’m going to take them in to have prints made so I can see what I was missing! I’m excited and can’t wait til Friday (that’s when I’m doing it). My wedding was perhaps the one single time in my life that I felt absolutely beautiful. The dress was perfect and amazing and my mother did a wonderful job with my bouquet and basket and such. She was probably the busiest person around that time. She made sure that it was perfect and wonderful. :) (more…)

Two Year Olds in Court

Saturday, December 27th, 2003

I was reading the news and came across this article about a mother who is suing a city on the behalf of her 2 year old for lost wages and such. Her reasoning is that the safety rails shouldn’t be green because they blend in. The kid is 2 for crying out loud! Scrapes and bruises are going to happen and I really can’t believe that anyone would sue for such a silly thing. Sure, he got stitches, but at 2, I’m guessing he could do a career change without a problem. :P Sometimes, I think humans are just getting more brain dead as we go.

Friday Five

  1. What was your biggest accomplishment this year? Developing stronger relationships with my family. I have always valued them, but this year I tried to focus on it a bit more.

  2. What was your biggest disappointment? Not growing enough. I kind of feel like I stagnated this year. Up until this year I felt the strains of growing and changing but this year it’s been so unfulfilling in that area. :(

  3. What do you hope the new year brings? Long term happiness. I’ve always been cheerful and upbeat but I’m hoping that happiness won’t be so hard to work at this year. And on a less emotional tangent, I hope that I can improve my creative side. Learning CSS better was a step in that direction, but I hope to develop my photography and writing more. (more…)

Wowzers!

Monday, December 22nd, 2003

Okay, there are too many gifts that Santa has to hide and put under the tree on Christmas night. It’s just crazy! This year we did something totally unexpected and boycotted electronic games. This includes the computer stuff. None of it is happening this year. We did go to Toys R Us though and take advantage of their cool buy one board game, get one free deal. So the kids have some good old fashioned boards games to drive me nuts with. Should be fun! Plus, I’m stitching like mad to finish some last minute Christmas gifts and I have to bake cookies and pies tomorrow! I’m going nuts! LOL. :grin2: Worse is that I still haven’t finished wrapping the million and one gifts that the terrors are getting and the bedroom isn’t set up for the guest we’re having for a week. Joy is me! Hehe… :) Sorry if the time I’m spending on blogging and commenting is fickle right now. I promise, after this week, things will get back to normal and I’ll be hounding you all again! Love to you all and I really hope that all of you are as blessed as I am and happy as a clam! ;)
