Wowzers!

Okay, there are too many gifts that Santa has to hide and put under the tree on Christmas night. It’s just crazy! This year we did something totally unexpected and boycotted electronic games. This includes the computer stuff. None of it is happening this year. We did go to Toys R Us though and take advantage of their cool buy one board game, get one free deal. So the kids have some good old fashioned boards games to drive me nuts with. Should be fun! Plus, I’m stitching like mad to finish some last minute Christmas gifts and I have to bake cookies and pies tomorrow! I’m going nuts! LOL. :grin2: Worse is that I still haven’t finished wrapping the million and one gifts that the terrors are getting and the bedroom isn’t set up for the guest we’re having for a week. Joy is me! Hehe… :) Sorry if the time I’m spending on blogging and commenting is fickle right now. I promise, after this week, things will get back to normal and I’ll be hounding you all again! Love to you all and I really hope that all of you are as blessed as I am and happy as a clam! ;)

:iloveyou:

WTG on the board games. Maybe I will pick a couple up for J.

The board games were a huge hit though it was difficult to explain to my oldest when I told him I was going to start seriously limiting his time with electronic items. He was not happy with that, but changes have to be made! I think he’ll live, even if he doesn’t think so. ;)

No computer games for Christmas?? Is that legal??

LOL! Well, if it isn’t, you’d better come lock me up! After all is said and done, absolutely no one got them video games. Which is funny because they were definitely on the terrors’ Christmas lists and I didn’t tell anyone not to buy them.

i think you have done a great thing getting no electronic things for christmas, think of the electricity you wont use and you get to save on no batteries, (wow lower electricty bill and more money to spend on your kids, good deal i think, kids get to use their imaginatiion)

Yeah, getting them to use their imagination was high on the list of reasons. My youngest still does. He’ll make up the most fantastic stories and drawings, but my oldest hasn’t used his enough lately.
