Bet you know the attendance number by heart

I go to pick up Sam today and start chatting with Ms. Jackson, the school principal. The number of children who are out sick is just crazy! Monday saw 80 missing, Tuesday 90 absent, and today had 60 sick. That’s not counting those that go to school no matter what. They could be dying and would still show up at school. And teachers are out, too! Thank goodness it was a long weekend and that Friday is a day off. Sounds like everyone needs it.

On a side note, every single person in my house is ill. Well, sorta. The terrors and I are getting over it, finally. But we got everyone else infected with the flu. Don’t catch it this year, it’s horrible!

    Your kids are ADORABLE!~ My best friends name is Denise. I love her and her name to death. It’s not a name I hear much so when I do I definitely take notice.

    Eep, I guess it’s that time of year, come early. We already had a bit of snow up here (NY) the kind that sticks to the ground! That never comes before the end of December! I guess we’re in for it up here this year…I wanna move down where you are!

    Theresa, the weather is nice here in the winter, but let me tell ya, the summers sort of suck, lol!

    I missed about a week in 1st grade with chicken pox, then didn’t miss a day of school until graduation. I seem to get sicker way more now than I used to, though… already had like 3 colds this calendar year.

    Tri, you suck! I missed so much school when I got sick. So you’re the reason I got sick at school. ;)

    Yeah, I think I’ve a viral illness, too. Good thing I’m not a student…
