Digitally Speaking

I want my own digital and after looking around, I’m leaning towards the Olympus C-750 Ultra Zoom. They say it sells for $549, but GnomeSavings says that it can be found for a mere $399.

But tell me, what digital camera do you use and love? I’m definitely open to suggestions!

You might look into the new Canon Rebel G digital. Looks promising and the film version of the camera is great.

I have a Sony Cyber-shot, though I forget the model number. My particular camera is a bit outdated - I got it almost two years ago, but I still love it - I’d better, because I can’t afford a new one! ;) I believe it’s only 2.0 megapixels, and has digital zoom, but I was impressed with the quality of the photos, and it had all the features I wanted. I mean, it’s no professional grade camera, but it was worth every penny - I paid around $300 for it. I believe the newest model is this one: http://www.sonystyle.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/eCS/Store/en/-/USD/SYDisplayProductInformation-Start;sid=7l6KmRpFni2KpyX8bLGAklVUi6OrNrTUZ8=?CategoryName=dccDIDigitalCamerasCyber-shotDigitalCameras&ProductSKU=DSCP10KITIS&Dept=dcc

I’m sure you could find it a little cheaper elsewhere, though.

We started out w/a Sony Mavica. Went to a Olympus point and shoot (I loved that camera) and now have another Sony (717) which I don’t like as much (it’s a nice camera but BIG and bulky… hard to take places).
Next time I will try and test a camera in my hands before buying.

What are you using the camera for? That depends a lot too. :)

I think I’m going to be using it for more point and shoot sorts of shots. I want something I can take anywhere and experiment with without having to lug a ton of equipment with it. Have I mentioned that I’m lazy?
