Wow, what a week!

Friday, October 24th, 2003

I’m tired. It seems like I just don’t have enough time recently. :) The terrors and I went to the park today since it was a half day from school for Sam. It was fun! It was hot! I can’t believe that we still have highs in the 90s! It is October, isn’t it? And Halloween is so close! Supposedly, the high for Halloween this year is going to be 91. Hope people aren’t going to be running around in those heavy plush suits. Talk about heat exhaustion. :D

Anyway, it was a good day, and it’s been a good week. Been getting tons of stuff done both online and offline. You might notice that my entries will be a bit sparadic in the coming months. That’s because Christmas is coming and birthdays and holidays, yada yada. :) I enjoy this time of year, but it’s always the busiest. For me it’s a bit worse, since I tend to do a few cross stitch pieces for people for Christmas. And I procrasinate, sooo… you can guess how far I’ve gotten already, lol! Have a great Friday!

I’m off to bed…

Revel in Life

Wednesday, October 22nd, 2003

I play games online. It’s something to do when Zacky doesn’t want to do anything with me or when he’s working solo (to develop some independence). Well, sometimes, people take these games way to serious. If you’re living a life where games are your everything and that’s all you have, maybe you should reevaluate your priorities. There is so much out there that is amazing and wonderful and awe inspiring. I know that I’ve made a similar rant a couple of months ago. I still think it holds true. I just seem to see it in more and more people. Games and the online world are not the end all in life. They are a side section. A tangent worth exploring and reveling in. But they shouldn’t be your everything. They should be used in moderation. There should be times when you aren’t at the computer. You should rule the computers, not let them rule you. Just remember to live life up sometimes. It’ll feel good!

Two for Tuesday

Tuesday, October 21st, 2003
  1. If you had 2 days off (from work or school or whatever) what things would you need to get accomplished? There always seems to be something that needs to be accomplished in my world. Not that I get it all done, but damn, I try! I’m sure many of you have that same never ending list of things to be done.

  2. What would actually get accomplished? Well, if it’s a vacation, then damn, nothing! If it’s just a day off that I took for a reason, then I’d do stuff off my list. Like a good girl. Ah, who am I kidding?? LAZY NISEY would come out in full force!

Tuesday Positives

Tuesday, October 21st, 2003

I’m just a lackadaisical gal this week! Not really, but I bet it seems that way to y’all online! Actually, what’s been happening is that I’ve been busy. See, Thanksgiving is going to be at my house this year, and well, I’m no where near prepared. So, I’ve spent the last few days working on getting things organized for it. The house is sort of a wreck, lol! So, on that note, here are my positives!

:: The three computers in the computer room are nicely configured now. Everyone gets a bit more room and it’s much nicer! :: Fall Break is over. :: Sam is doing well in school. :: Book fair is this week! I love book fair! :: I took a picture of myself that I actually like. (See left.) :: Dalani hit 99. :: It’s a good week so far. :: In 2 short months, I’ll be 25.
