Shattered Sun

Talking with Mal on MSN made me think about how much we keep hidden from people. Especially online, where you don’t get to see how a person interacts. Well, you get to see bits and pieces, but not like if you were watching them play with their kids or pets or something. So this is me as I see me. It’s also me as my friends see me. Or at least what they tell me, lol.

I’m that person who laughs when no one else is. I’m also the person who cries when no one else is. I love sappy movies. I get all teary eyed even if I’ve seen a movie a million times and know what’s going to happen. I’m the girl who talks to the screen, trying to get the actor to not do something they shouldn’t do. Yeah, I know it’s a movie, lol. I’m insensitive about 80% of the time. I also tend to insert my foot more often than I like. I’m honest to a fault. Sometimes it’s too honest. I’m the girl you see driving along, singing at the top of her lungs. I’m also the one who waves at you when you stare. I’m also the girl who’s telling the other drivers how to drive. (Forget that they can’t hear me or that I am not the greatest driver myself.) I’m the passenger telling you how to drive or giving you bad directions.

You’ve probably seen me being completely silly at the park with my terrors. Yeah, I’m the adult that’s playing on the playground. I’m also the girl who skips down the sidewalk, runs when I shouldn’t, and doesn’t mind getting dirty. I like to climb trees. I’m the one person you know who talks about her pets and children in the same context, so sometimes, you’re just not sure who I’m referring to. I’m also the girl who talks techy even when you get that glassy eye look.

I talk. A lot. So if you see someone getting their ear talked off by a short little brunette, that’s probably me. I’m the girl who can’t sing or dance, but does them anyway. I’m also that girl that you feel the need to protect and take care of. And I’m a witch. A lot. Ask anyone. I don’t mind being one, it’s all good. I’m moody. Not wild mood swing moody, just moody. I have a long fuse. But once I’m pushed to the point of anger, it’s not pretty.

I’m a girly girl who’s not really girly enough. I’m also a tomboy that is sorta growing out of it. I try to fix everything. I’m always trying to make everyone happy. Yeah, I know that’s not possible. I believe that love is eternal. I don’t think people fall out of love. I think it’s more of a conflict on a more base level and love just can’t fix it. Sometimes, love isn’t enough.

There is nothing I say in my life that I wouldn’t say to my own mother. I am so far from perfection, that I’m not sure what perfection is. I used to stress and try to aim for perfection all the time. I’m getting better. Speaking of perfection, I’m that annoying person who throws lots of big words into conversations. I like showing off my vocabulary.

I’m the geek you see in the library. I’m also the geek you see gushing about theatre, ranting about politics, and generally running amuck. And if you’ve made it this far in this rambling, I’m impressed! There is so much more that I could write, but it’s almost 2:30 and I really have to go to bed. Hope you enjoyed the ramble. Sorry if it didn’t quite flow or make sense.
