Weekly Wrapup #76
What is the most essential item you include in your suitcase when you travel? Why? My medicine bag. I carry one that has all the typical meds for me and the terrors. It comes in handy and has saved me on more than a few occasions! lol!
What is the least essential item you include in your suitcase when you travel? Why? Bathing Suit. I always carry one with me, and I rarely ever use it. It’s not that I don’t like swimming, it’s just that there are so many other things that I’d rather do. So usually I get tangled up in the million other things and completely forget to swim until I’m heading home. Then I’m like, ooooo, I did it again!
How early do you start packing for a big trip (say, a week)? Why so early or so late? I always mean to start early, but I tend to end up waiting til the last moment. So, it’s usually the day before when I start doing all the laundry of the items I want to take with me. As for why so late? Usually it’s just me procrasinating that does it.
What do you pack in your carry-on bag if you’re flying? If you’ve never flown, estimate what you’d pack. I take my purse so it has all my usual stuff in it. And I take my meds with me. Because you never know when your luggage could decide to visit another city without you.
What kind of stuff do you (or would you) pack if you were traveling with a child for a three-hour flight? I’ve done this with two children, and it’s not a whole lot of fun. You know those nifty car traveling kits? Those are also awesome for plane rides. And books are good. Where’s Waldo and similar find-it books are wonderful for keeping children entertained. Another good idea is crayons and coloring books. Basically, think of all the quiet toys you can get your hands on and that’s what I always try to take.
