LOTR : RotK

Wow. I just watched the trailer for Return of the King and I am impressed. You’d think that they third movie would be lacking. Isn’t that the way it usually works? This also got me thinking, there are a lot of “Continuation Movies” that I want to see when they come out. I don’t think it’s proper to describe the movies as sequels, since they really aren’t. But you’ve got these series out there and I want to see them: LOTR, Matrix, Harry Potter, and Kill Bill. :)

The best part about LOTR? It comes out 3 days before my birthday! :grin2:

I watched The Lord of the Rings yesterday: the day it came out! It was absoloutly amazing and I recommend all the fans to go and see it as soon as possible so that noone can spoil it for you if you haven’t read the book.
They cut out Sauraman and his loyal slave Wormtounge completly, and the part when the hobbits learn how to battle and defend The Shire on their own. However they do add quite a lot and each battle is thrilling and amazing, as are the visal effects. All the cast act spectacually, especailly Elijah Wood aka Frodo Baggins. He is so cute! Parts of the film are funny, frightening and very sad. It certainly bought tears to my eyes! You really must see it, and read the books! Such a shame its the last film . . . I’d never get bored if I watched the film a million times.

Well, the good part is that we can expect to see the cut sections on the extended DVD version of the movie. Yet another reason to buy it, lol! :) I loved the books and I think they’ve done a great job putting them to film, even if they did delete scenes and move scenes around. And you’re right about watching it a million times, there is so much detail in these movies that I don’t think I could ever catch it all!
