Happy Halloween!

Friday, October 31st, 2003

Be careful while trick or treating, try to have fun, and remember, it’ll all be over soon! If you see someone scampering about with a wizard and dog, that’s me!

Btw, everyone start wishing Tri a happy birthday early. His birthday is tomorrow. :D

Friday Five

Friday, October 31st, 2003
  1. What was your first Halloween costume? I have absolutely no idea. I shall have to ask my mom when she gets back from her trip.

  2. What was your best costume and why? I’ve never been really good at cosutmes. I get my best one was when I dressed up as a sexy witch. I was all glittery. It was fun. :)

  3. Did you ever play a trick on someone who didn’t give you a treat? Nope, never. I’m boring.

  4. Do you have any Halloween traditions? (ie: Family pumpkin carving, special dinner before trick or treating, etc.) Nope, no crazy family traditions. Halloween isn’t really my family’s holiday, so to speak.

  5. Share your favorite scary story…real or legend! My favorite scary story is The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. Loved it since I was a kid.

Just who the hell are you?

Talking with Mal on MSN made me think about how much we keep hidden from people. Especially online, where you don’t get to see how a person interacts. Well, you get to see bits and pieces, but not like if you were watching them play with their kids or pets or something. :) So this is me as I see me. It’s also me as my friends see me. Or at least what they tell me, lol.

I’m that person who laughs when no one else is. I’m also the person who cries when no one else is. I love sappy movies. I get all teary eyed even if I’ve seen a movie a million times and know what’s going to happen. I’m the girl who talks to the screen, trying to get the actor to not do something they shouldn’t do. Yeah, I know it’s a movie, lol. I’m insensitive about 80% of the time. I also tend to insert my foot more often than I like. :) I’m honest to a fault. Sometimes it’s too honest. (more…)

Children’s Books

Thursday, October 30th, 2003

I simply adore children’s books. The way the authors take stories that might seem very adult and place them in a child friendly environment is just amazing. I have a lot of favorites that I find myself reading to my children. And last night I was gifted with listening to my 8 year old reading the very same books to his little brother.

:sweetheart:

Anyway, it prompted me to start sharing my reading here. I think it’s more of a way to keep track of the books that the terrors and I love to read or enjoyed more than anything else. So, here’s our suggestions for today. :)

:reading: The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs (Very Humorous Children’s Book) :reading: The Legend of the Bluebonnet: An Old Tale of Texas (Children’s Book) :reading: Artemis Fowl (Artemis Fowl, Book 1) (Children’s Book but I enjoyed it as an adult. It’s a great book!)

Looking Back on Today

Thursday, October 30th, 2003
1st of November, 1998.
I was thinking of what to say when I could call.
Denice come over to my house, cuz you’re the one for me.
We’ll drink cheap wine and watch more shooting stars.

Change the spelling of the name and date a wee bit and well, you’d have a romance that I once had. And it’s in a song, go figure. :) Love is sweet. (more…)
