Weekly Wrapup #68

  1. What was your most cherished possession when you were a child? Why? This doll that my mother gave me. I think she made it, but I’m not sure. I don’t think it even mattered to me. :) It was my favorite doll and stayed in my room normally. But when I was sad or emotional, it was the thing I always reached for. I guess you could say it was my comfort. ;)

  2. What was your most cherished possession when you were a teenager? Why? My computer because it was my communication with all the friends that I left behind when I moved around. It was simply the best item in the world! To a certain degree, it’s still my more cherished possession, but it’s versatility made it my lifesaver as a teenager.

  3. Do you still have these possessions now? Why or why not? I don’t have the doll anymore but I do have a computer. Not the same computer, but still a computer. I feel lost without a computer! LOL! The doll is lost right now. I think my mother might have it, but I don’t really know anymore.

  4. What is your most cherished possession now? How has the type of this item changed from the kinds of things you cherished when you were younger? I think my cell phone would have to be my most cherished possession because it connects me with my world. My children, family, friends, and everything. It’s not that I can’t live without it, but to be able to be anywhere and get a hold of my children, is wonderful.

  5. Describe your experience(s) with this saying: “One man’s trash is another’s treasure.” It’s so true!! My best example is this website. For my friends who don’t do websites, they think I’m a bit silly (even thought they read it). They are just amazed that I’ll put so much time into it. I guess I take a similar viewpoint to their hobbies, especially when I don’t understand the draw to said hobby. :grin2:
