Weekly Wrapup #67
Do you enjoy arts & crafts? Why or why not? Yes, but I never seem to have the time. I love making something that looks cool or beautiful and being able to say, “I did that!” There’s a sense of accomplishment in it. Arts & crafts is very therapeutic, I believe.
What was your favorite arts & crafts project as a child? Why? As a child I just loved those little hook rug things. And making pot holders! That was so much fun!
What kinds of arts & crafts do you do now? Has this changed over time? If so, how and why? I tend to do cross stitching. It’s simple and fulfilling to watch something be created by little squares of color. Actually, it reminds me a lot of pixels! This hasn’t really changed. My mother got me started doing cross stitch when I was 17 and from there I was hooked! I don’t think I could have a better hobby. (Which reminds me, I need to really get moving if I want to make any Christmas gifts this year!)
What kind of arts & crafts would you like to learn how to do? Why? Photography, if that counts. I would just love to learn how to take good shots and develop film and all that. It seems that all of my friends who do photography love it. And why not? You get to capture what you see, and sometimes, what you see is so unique that it’s worth sharing. Photos let you see what someone else sees in the world. That’s almost like looking into one’s soul.
Describe your ideal arts & crafts environment, whether it’s at home, school, work, or elsewhere. Ideally, on a nice couch, where everyone leaves me alone. That never seems to happen, but that’s the best place. Just add some music in the background and it’d be absolutely perfect!
Bonus Unrelated Question: Freddy vs Jason opens this weekend… who exactly is the good guy? Why? Neither, but then, I’m not a fan of either movie series. Go figure.
