What song (new or old) do you secretly enjoy, but publicly ridicule? Why? There are no songs that I do this with. I’m pretty opinionated about music and I don’t think that people should ridicule a song just because of peer pressure. I’d love to see everyone enjoying something without thinking that it’ll reflect bad on them. (I will admit that there are songs I ridicule that I sing along with. It doesn’t mean that I really like them, it’s just that they’re so darn catchy!)
Do you carry a purse or tote bag or backpack? If so, what’s inside? I carry a small purse. Usually, regardless of season, you’ll find inside it: Aveeno anti-itch cream, pack of gum (typically Juicy Fruit), soapless hand cleaner, a few cough drops, a tampon, advil, book of matches, breathe freshener, Chapstick, id cards (etc), money, sunglasses, and keys. The outside usually houses my cell phone.
Describe your dream job. Why did you select this one? My dream jobwould be staying home and being a mom. I never thought that I’d want to do that when I was ounger, but to be honest, it’s really something I love. It’s thankless but fullfilling. I think that more women would do it, if it weren’t for the financial aspect of it all.
You are given an opportunity to live anywhere in the world, expense free, but you can never move again. Where do you live? Why? Portland, Oregon. Sounds silly, and I hate the rain, but if it had to be one location forever, that’d be where I’d go. As for why, I think it’s because I just love the people there. There is just something about Portlanders that draws me to them. And it’s so strange and unexplainable, but there it is.
What do you like about living in your particular city? Would you recommend it to others as a good place to live and work? Why? I love Phoenix, because it’s got everything. I mean, you have any hobby that a person could want with in 6 hours drive, or less. And then there is so much to do in the city that sometimes I wonder why people go anywhere else! I also love how the winters are killer and the weather here makes it perfect for going out and doing things, regardless of time of year. While I probably won’t live here forever, it is an ideal place for working, living, and playing if you want it all in one spot.
You have a superpower. What is it? What do you do with it? Do you tell anyone? It’s telepathy and I would pretty much act like a Deanna on Star Trek. I mean, I would tell everyone (within reason) that I have it, but there would be times when it would be more useful to just not mention it. It would be awesome to see the “truth” without wondering if it’s the full truth.
What five people, living or dead, famous or not, do you wish lived on your block? Mozart, Shakespeare, Van Gogh, Pocahontas, and Mrs. Rinks (my junior/senior years english teacher) would be who I wished for. I would just love to see them all interact with each other and to see the opinions that they’d all share. It’d be an awesome round table, so to speak.
