Wallpaper

Thursday, July 31st, 2003

Ooooo, thanks to Tri for sending me to Apophis’ Wallpaper to look around. I was impressed! And resentful because I have to wait til I get back home to download any of them! I did find some for others though. In particular, Raynos, check out the Games :: Misc. Section. :) Nice FF art. And Carrie, look at the Flowers. :beam:

Blogging

Thursday, July 31st, 2003

I was emailing with a fellow blogger (although Journal Keeper may be more apt) and the conversation got me thinking about why I keep my journal online. I keep mine for a variety of reasons, but mainly because I have moved so many times that I have friends all over the place and my website is a great way to keep them all up to date. It saves me loads of time with my email! (Does this mean that my website is maintained so that I can be lazy?)

I don’t actively set out to have my site included in search engines, nor do I sit around lamenting on the number of hits or links leading people to my site. I figure if you find your way here, then great! You did it without me tooting my own horn, so to speak. (This could be construed to be more laziness on my part, depending on your perspective.) ;)

Photolog Update

Okay, so I updated the Photolog with a ton more photos. The displays aren’t all worked out as well as I’d like, but most of them look pretty darn good. Enjoy!

Define Normal

Wednesday, July 30th, 2003

I was just hanging around Marie’s site and loved her entry about the Illinois Govenor wanting to live in his home instead of the Govenor’s Mansion. I don’t think that’s such a bad idea. I mean, I think it’s disruptive for the neighborhood that he chooses to reside in, but come on! Rent the Mansion out or something. :) Why not?

If you’re wondering why he wants to remain in his house, it’s all for his 6 year old daughter. I think it rocks that he’s trying to keep life as “normal” as possible for her. It’s such a rarity to see parenting being a priority like he’s making it. :beam:

Karma drives a fast car

As seen at Michael’s! :) I decided to take the Karma Test and this is what it told me:

denise, in the last year you’ve earned 815 karma points. (more…)
