This or That?
- Newspapers or magazines? Magazines
- Books-on-tape or regular books? Both, on tape for driving trips, regular books for at home (relaxation baby!)
- Paperback or hardcover? hardcover last longer, but if I’m buying them for a quick read, paperback works
- Fiction or non-fiction? Fiction! Nice to escape from reality sometimes
- Sci-Fi/Fantasy or romance novels? Sci-Fi all the way (see my 100 things)
- Borrow from library or buy books (either new or used)? Both, but usually read via the library first.
- Subscribe to magazines or buy on newsstand? Subscribe, it’s cheaper that way
- Current best-sellers or classic literature? Best Sellers for the most part, because I think we all get enough classic when we’re in high school and college.
- Read books once, or re-read favorites every so often? Re-read! Otherwise, why buy them?
- Here in the U.S., we have two hot best-sellers…former First Lady Hillary Clinton’s memoirs, and the new Harry Potter book (coming out June 21). If you had to read one, which one…Hillary or Harry? Why? It’ll be Harry Potter because most of the items that Hillary is talking about in her book I already know about (even if not completely from her view point) and she’s not really someone that I admire enough to read about her life. I believe that she’s kind of cashing in on celebrity, not that it’s a bad thing. I’d cash in too if given the option. But of course, I’m not one who likes to air my dirty laundry out for everyone to see, so memoirs are not usually my kind of thing.
