Weekly Wrapup #59

  1. Do you like to have your picture taken? Why or why not? I can’t say that I’m a big fan of having my picture taken. But I’ve gotten used to it being something of a necessary evil over the years and for the most part, I don’t avoid the camera. I just don’t go out of my way to take photos of myself. As for why, it’s because I’ve always had a lack of self confidence in the way I look. I’m fine with who I am, but I always think that cameras just capture a bit of me that doesn’t look right. Particularly, my face. It’s odd, but true.
  2. What is your earliest memory of having your picture taken? Elementary school photos. I can remember standing in line with my classmates and that they would comb quickly through our hair with a comb (which I never use) and then we’d sit on a box. It was a wooden box, too. The reason I say photos is because every year it was the same and therefore, I am not sure which year is the first one I remember. ;)

  3. What is the best picture you’ve ever had taken (or took of yourself)? Why did you pick this photo? The best photo I’ve ever had taken was shot by me and is a goofy little shot. I love it because it’s definitely not perfect and really shows me for who I am. It’s beautiful though. I guess that I’d rather be the source of my own misery than have someone else do it for me. It’s like taking a bandaid off. When someone else does it, it hurts a hellava lot more than when you do it yourself. (To view said photo, click here.)

  4. Ladies, under what circumstances would you pose for a “glamour shot”? Gentlemen, would you want your girlfriend/wife to pose for a “glamour shot”? Both: why? I have no desire to pose for a glamour shot. And if I absolutely had to, I would only do it if someone went with me and made me do it. I just don’t agree with them piling on the makeup and doing the funky hair all with the intent of making you look beautiful. A person should look beautiful in their natural state. I’m not against using a little makeup, I just don’t think it should be carried to such an extreme.

  5. Would you ever pose for nude photos? Why or why not? Yes, I would, but only for a good cause. I don’t want to just have some guy taking photos of me for no reason. I mean, if I’m with someone and he wants to do it, there should be no need, I’m with him. But if someone was saying that we’re doing nude photos to raise money for cancer or something, I’d be all for it.
