Monday Mission
- What’s the worst thing about Mondays?
Monday means that the weekend is over. Not that I’ve ever worked a normal work week and had a weekend off, but hey, that’s what I hear.
- Do you believe in soul mates? Have you met yours yet?
I do believe in soul mates. I don’t think I’ve met mine yet. There were times that I felt that I had, but… 3. What do you recall wanting to “be” when you were a child, dreams of what you’d do when you were an adult for work - who you’d live with… where you’d live… how many kids you’d have. How does the dreams you once had compare to your reality, same, much different? You have surpassed those dreams?
I always thought that I’d be a teacher. It’s kind of silly, since I know I could do it now, but I just have never decided to get the degree to do it. I also thought that I’d have four children, live in the Northwest, and be married for the rest of my life. Of course, I live in Phoenix, Arizona, have only two children, and am divorced. I don’t think I could go in more opposite of a direction.
- What do you think of education in your town/city? In your country? How would you improve it?
Education in Phoenix is actually pretty good. Especially on the higher education level. We have ASU and Mesa Community College are completely awesome! But on a lower level, it’s difficult. We have such a difference of level from one district to another. Personally, I think that we need to revamp the way that we test the students and the requirements that we have for the teachers and schools. Everything is about budget when it shouldn’t be. It is just too plain difficult for schools to get the funding they need. Just can’t put a price on Education since it’s so important in life.
- If you had to pick three songs to sum up your life what would they be and why?
She’ll Leave You With a Smile because there are more than a few guys have described me that way.
Man, I Feel Like a Woman! because it totally describes my attitude!
I’m In a Hurry (And I Don’t Know Why) because it’s life. Completely.
- Do you believe in love at first sight? Can it really happen?
I don’t believe in love at first sight. But I do believe in love at second sight. It’s just something that has to grow on you, if it’s going to be something that lasts forever.
- What’s your greatest fear?
Spiders. They’re useful, I know, but I hate them.
BONUS: Have you forgotten?
Sometimes, yes. Most of the time, no.
