Weekly Wrapup #56
What was your favorite book as a child? Why? Where the Wild Things Are because it’s just amazing that he can join such a fearsome land and do everything that I always wanted to do to get away.
How often did you read as a child? Describe your preferred reading area or situation. I tended to read a few times a month. When I read, I like to read without distractions, so my bedroom tends to be the spot. It’s always been that way. I lie on my bed and just read away the hours.
What children’s literature series did you read when you were younger? Why? I read theLittle House on the Prairie series because my mother gave me the box set and it was something good to read. A lot of my books as a child were picked up thanks to the gentle push of an adult.
Do you still read children’s literature? Why or why not? I still read children’s lit. because I have two children and my friends all have children. Being informed about the new books that come out is a great way of having conversation with a child. It shows to them that you really are paying attention to their world.
What children’s book would you recommend for a child’s library? Why? A must have is The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs. It has got to be the funniest book I have ever read. I made it a requirement for all of my friends’ children, too.
