Ah Ha!

I figured out what the heck I was doing wrong with the MTInclude tag! Apperantly you aren’t supposed to use $ in it and I was. So now I can use modules and don’t have to add the macros to every template that I want them on. Editing one page is much better than editing 4-6 pages. :)

Still don’t know why the buttons on the “Create New Entry” page aren’t working, but I’m getting to that. Right now it’s just an inconvience instead of something that’s broken.

Woo Hoo! Smilies!

I have smilies!! Is that not totally awesome or what? It helps to step away sometimes, because I really felt like I was doing this:

Anyway, next on the agenda is figuring out why I can’t use the MTInclude tag and therefore can’t use template modules. That was part of the reason why I couldn’t get my smilies to work, so I had to do it the long way, but that’s cool, too. :cool: Oh, and I still have to figure out why my buttons on the edit entry pages aren’t working. It’s like the javascript is broken. :: sigh :: Back to work.

Smilies

So I went and decided to follow Unix Gal’s Smilies Tutorial to add smilies to MT for this blog and well, I’m having total issues with it. I just can’t seem to get it to work properly and it’s driving me nuts. Something about MTInclude not initializing or something. It’s nuts, I tell you. You’d think it’d be a bit easier. :: sigh :: I miss my smilies

Of course, this is all probably user error and once I do it all over again, it’ll probably work wonderfully.
